The Eritrean Public Health Association (Eri-PHA) has formed a technical committee composed of young public health professionals to bolster its activities and revitalize the organization.
Following the successful conclusion of its third scientific conference in July 2024, Eri-PHA's executive committee recognized the need for a dedicated technical team to drive the association's initiatives. Eight public health professionals who were instrumental in organizing the conference were selected to serve on this committee. The terms of reference for the technical committee were officially endorsed on August 12, 2024.
The technical committee is committed to several key objectives:
Continuous Professional Development: Conducting needs assessments, developing comprehensive educational strategies, and implementing innovative learning methodologies, such as a Raspberry Pi-based learning management system, to ensure accessible and up-to-date training for public health professionals across Eritrea.
Membership Engagement: Actively engaging members through various channels, including social media (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram) and the official Eri-PHA website, to share important announcements, news, and initiatives.
Global Collaboration: Fostering connections with Eritrean public health professionals in the diaspora to promote knowledge exchange, collaboration, and support for the association's goals.
By implementing these strategies, the technical committee aims to strengthen Eri-PHA's impact on public health in Eritrea and beyond.
